EHM Tech LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the SmokeFree44 mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. PRIVACY-FIRST DESIGN

SmokeFree44 is designed with your privacy as the top priority. All craving logs, diary entries, mission progress, and smoke-free, savings and health-recovery calculations are performed and stored entirely on your device. Your quit-journey content is never transmitted to our servers. The App has no user accounts, no cloud database, and no server sync — there is nowhere for your quit-journey content to go.

Data stored locally on your device includes:

Your quit plan and smoking profile (quit instant, taper opt-in and start day, motivation sentence, product type, unit price, consumption figures, currency, time to first smoke after waking)
Craving logs (timestamp, strength, whether you resisted or smoked, location, feelings, activities, company, optional note)
Daily diary entries (one per day: smoked verdict and count, craving severity and count, NRT or vape spend, optional note)
Mission progress and your own additions (program day completion and notes, user-written missions, custom craving chips, saved and favourited coping tips)
Badge unlocks (badge identifier and the moment it was first earned)
App settings (selected theme, reminder times and quiet days, onboarding progress and flags)

This is sensitive health information. We do not collect, store, or have access to your cravings, diary entries, mission notes, badges, quit plan, smoking profile, or any other personal information you enter into the App. It stays on your device.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

While your quit-journey content remains private on your device, we collect limited technical data to improve the App:

Anonymous usage analytics (via Firebase Analytics) to understand which features are used
Crash reports and diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics) to identify and fix app stability issues
Purchase data for subscription management (via RevenueCat)
Device identifiers for fraud prevention and entitlement validation (via RevenueCat)

This telemetry is anonymous and describes how the App itself behaves — screens opened, features used, and technical crash diagnostics. It never includes your quit-journey content: no craving logs, no diary entries, no mission notes or user-written missions, no custom chips or tips, no badge history, and no quit-plan or smoking-profile details are ever sent to us or to any third party.

Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics are enabled only in release builds and are disabled during development.

3. NO ADVERTISING

SmokeFree44 does not display any advertisements. We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not collect or share data with advertisers. Your experience is ad-free.

On Android, the Firebase Analytics library the App bundles would normally merge in the advertising identifier permission (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID). The App explicitly strips that permission out of its manifest, so the version you install never requests or uses the Android advertising identifier at all.

4. IN-APP PURCHASES

Payment Processing: If you subscribe to the Pro version (offered with a 7-day free trial on yearly and weekly plans), your payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and handled through RevenueCat, our subscription platform. EHM Tech never receives, sees, or stores your payment card details.

Subscription Management: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat uses anonymous user IDs — no user accounts are required, and your quit-journey content is never associated with a purchase. RevenueCat collects:

App usage events (app opened, subscription screens viewed)
Device type and operating system
Transaction data (purchase receipts, subscription status)
Last seen time in app

5. SUPPORT CONTACT DATA

If you contact us for support through the App, the support email may include technical information to help us assist you:

App version and build number
Operating system version
Device manufacturer and model
RevenueCat anonymous App User ID
Timezone

This information is only collected when you choose to initiate contact and is used solely to provide support. It does not include your craving logs, diary entries, mission notes, badges, quit plan, or smoking profile.

6. DATA RETENTION

Your craving logs, diary entries, mission progress, custom chips and tips, badge unlocks, quit plan, smoking profile, and settings are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data. If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is deleted from your device.

Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by Firebase according to Google's data retention policies. This data cannot be linked back to you personally.

7. PERMISSIONS

The App may request the following permissions:

Notifications: To send your daily diary nudge, craving support hour, quit day, taper daily target, and health-milestone reminders, plus an optional trial-ending reminder. If you decline, reminders are simply not delivered — the rest of the App works normally.
Exact Alarms: To schedule reminders precisely at the times you choose, such as a craving support hour or a daily taper target (Android)
Boot Completed: To re-schedule your reminders after your device restarts, so a reboot doesn't silently drop them (Android)
Internet: Required for analytics, crash reporting, and subscription validation

Your cravings, diary entries, missions, badges, quit plan, and smoking profile are held on-device in the App's own local database and preferences store, and none of the permissions above are used to send them anywhere.

All permissions are optional (except internet for core functionality) and can be managed in your device settings.

8. EXPORT AND SHARING

The App does not export your data as a file, and it never writes your records out to anywhere else on your device. What it does offer is sharing of a picture you generate yourself, and every share is something you start:

Progress cards: Health, Stats, and Milestone cards — along with the countdown and mission variants — are rendered locally, captured to a temporary PNG image in the App's own storage, and passed to your operating system's share sheet when you tap Share.

All rendering and sharing happens on your device. We do not access, intercept, upload, or store any card or other shared content.

Please note: a progress card can reveal that you are tracking a quit attempt, along with details such as your smoke-free day count or the money you have saved. Once you share it, it leaves the App and is under your control and the control of whoever receives it. Sharing is never automatic — the App will not post, upload, or send anything on your behalf.

9. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

Right to access information we hold about you
Right to request deletion of your data
Right to limit analytics via your device privacy settings
Right to data portability

10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
