EHM Tech LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Receipt44 mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. PRIVACY-FIRST DESIGN

Receipt44 is designed with your privacy as the top priority. All invoice and estimate creation, client and business records, payment tracking, and income reporting are performed and stored entirely on your device. Your invoicing and client data is never transmitted to our servers.

Data stored locally on your device includes:

  • Invoices and estimates (document number, issued and due dates, currency, line items, discounts, tax rate, notes, and stamped totals)
  • Saved businesses (name, logo, email, phone, address, tax ID, and custom fields)
  • Saved clients (name, email, phone, address, custom fields, and outstanding balances)
  • Price book items (saved line items with name, details, rate, and billing unit)
  • Recorded payments (date, amount, and payment method)
  • Attached photos and business logos (stored as files in the App's own documents directory)
  • App settings (theme, document layout, numbering counters, and onboarding progress)

We do not collect, store, or have access to the invoices, estimates, business or client details, payments, photos, or any other information you enter into the App.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

While your invoicing and client data remains private on your device, we collect limited technical data to improve the App:

  • Anonymous usage analytics (via Firebase Analytics) to understand how features are used
  • Crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics) to identify and fix app stability issues
  • Purchase data for subscription management (via RevenueCat)
  • Device identifiers for fraud prevention and entitlement validation (via RevenueCat)

Analytics and crash reporting are only collected in release builds of the App. This data does not include your invoices, estimates, business or client details, payments, or attached photos.

3. NO ADVERTISING

Receipt44 does not display any advertisements. We do not use advertising SDKs, we do not collect an advertising identifier, and we do not collect or share data with advertisers. Your experience is ad-free.

4. IN-APP PURCHASES

Payment Processing: If you purchase the Pro version, your payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not collect or store your payment information.

Subscription Management: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat collects:

  • App usage events (app opened, subscription screens viewed)
  • Device type and operating system
  • Transaction data (purchase receipts, subscription status)
  • Last seen time in app

5. SUPPORT CONTACT DATA

If you contact us for support through the App, the support email may include technical information to help us assist you:

  • App version
  • Operating system version
  • Device model
  • Timezone

This information is only collected when you choose to initiate contact and is used solely to provide support.

6. DATA RETENTION

Your invoices, estimates, businesses, clients, price book items, payments, attached photos, and app preferences are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data. If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is deleted.

7. PERMISSIONS

The App may request the following permissions:

  • Notifications: To send an optional trial-ending reminder, scheduled on your device
  • Exact Alarms: To schedule that reminder precisely in your local timezone (Android)
  • Boot Completed: To re-schedule pending reminders after your device restarts
  • Camera: To take photos you attach to an invoice or estimate (prompted on iOS the first time you use the camera)
  • Internet: Required for analytics, crash reporting, and subscription validation

Choosing an existing image for a document photo or a business logo uses your system's photo picker, and sharing an export uses your system's share sheet. Neither requires the App to request access to your photo library or files.

All permissions are optional (except internet for core functionality) and can be managed in your device settings.

8. EXPORT AND SHARING

The App lets you save and share documents you create yourself:

  • PDF and image exports: Invoices and estimates rendered locally into a PDF document or a PNG image
  • Plain text exports: A text version of a document for pasting into an email or message
  • Income CSV export: A spreadsheet of every invoice in the date range you select, generated on your device

Every export is generated on your device and handed to your operating system's share sheet, where you choose the destination. The App does not upload exported files anywhere, and we do not access, intercept, or store any exported or shared content.

9. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

  • Right to access information we hold about you
  • Right to request deletion of your data
  • Right to limit analytics via your device privacy settings
  • Right to data portability

10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
