EHM Tech LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Business44 mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. PRIVACY-FIRST DESIGN

Business44 is designed with your privacy as the top priority. All receipt writing, payment records, business and member details, and payment reports are performed and stored entirely on your device. Your receipt and payment data is never transmitted to our servers.

Data stored locally on your device includes:

  • Receipts (receipt number, date, payer name, purpose, amount received, currency, payment mode, reference number, Received By, notes, and whether the Paid stamp is on)
  • Saved businesses (name, logo, email, phone, address, Reg No., custom fields, and archived businesses)
  • Business members (name and optional designation, including archived members)
  • Signatures and business logos (stored as image files in the App's own documents directory)
  • App settings (default currency, date format, receipt title, default notes, payment modes, PAID stamp style, document theme and layout, numbering counter, and onboarding progress)

We do not collect, store, or have access to the receipts, payer names, business or member details, signatures, logos, or any other information you enter into the App.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

While your receipt and payment data remains private on your device, we collect limited technical data to improve the App:

  • Anonymous usage analytics (via Firebase Analytics) to understand how features are used
  • Crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics) to identify and fix app stability issues
  • Purchase data for subscription management (via RevenueCat)
  • Device identifiers for fraud prevention and entitlement validation (via RevenueCat)

Analytics and crash reporting are only collected in release builds of the App. This data does not include your receipts, payer names, business or member details, signatures, or logos.

3. NO ADVERTISING

Business44 does not display any advertisements. We do not use advertising SDKs, we do not collect an advertising identifier, and we do not collect or share data with advertisers. The App does not request App Tracking Transparency permission and does not access the IDFA. Your experience is ad-free.

4. IN-APP PURCHASES

Payment Processing: If you purchase the Pro version, your payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not collect or store your payment information.

Subscription Management: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat collects:

  • App usage events (app opened, subscription screens viewed)
  • Device type and operating system
  • Transaction data (purchase receipts, subscription status)
  • Last seen time in app

5. SUPPORT CONTACT DATA

If you contact us for support through the App, the support email may include technical information to help us assist you:

  • App version and build number
  • Operating system version
  • Device manufacturer and model
  • RevenueCat anonymous App User ID
  • Timezone

This information is only collected when you choose to initiate contact and is used solely to provide support. It does not include your receipts, payer names, business or member details, signatures, or logos.

6. DATA RETENTION

Your receipts, businesses, members, signatures, business logos, and app preferences are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data. If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is deleted.

7. PERMISSIONS

The App may request the following permissions:

  • Notifications: To send an optional trial-ending reminder, scheduled on your device
  • Exact Alarms: To schedule that reminder precisely in your local timezone (Android)
  • Boot Completed: To re-schedule a pending reminder after your device restarts
  • Camera: To take a photo to use as your business logo (prompted on iOS the first time you use the camera)
  • Internet: Required for analytics and crash reporting (Firebase) and subscription validation (RevenueCat)

Choosing an existing image for a business logo uses your system's photo picker, and sharing an export uses your system's share sheet. Neither requires the App to request access to your photo library or files.

All permissions are optional (except internet for core functionality) and can be managed in your device settings.

8. EXPORT AND SHARING

The App lets you save and share documents you create yourself:

  • PDF and image exports: A receipt rendered locally into an A4 PDF document or a PNG image
  • Plain text exports: A text version of a receipt for pasting into an email or message
  • Reports CSV export: A UTF-8 spreadsheet of the receipts matching your report filters (date range, business, and Received By), generated on your device
  • PDF report: Your report totals and breakdowns rendered locally into a PDF document

Every export is generated on your device and handed to your operating system's share sheet, where you choose the destination. The App does not upload exported files anywhere, and we do not access, intercept, or store any exported or shared content.

9. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

  • Right to access information we hold about you
  • Right to request deletion of your data
  • Right to limit analytics via your device privacy settings
  • Right to data portability

10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
