PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: September 8, 2026
Effective date: September 8, 2026
EHM Tech LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Travel44 mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our App.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
You can review the most current version of this Privacy Policy at https://www.ehm-tech.com/itinerary-planner/privacy/.
1. PRIVACY-FIRST DESIGN
Travel44 is designed with your privacy as the top priority. All trip building, itinerary timing and timezone resolution, airport lookup, and cost totalling are performed and stored entirely on your device. Your travel data is never transmitted to our servers. The App has no user accounts, no cloud database, and no server sync — there is nowhere for your itineraries to go. Even the airport picker is offline: roughly 7,900 airport rows ship inside the App, so searching for a flight never sends a lookup anywhere.
Data stored locally on your device includes:
- Trips and the items inside them (flights, lodging, food, activities, transport, and other entries, each with its title, notes, and ordered free-text steps)
- Item timing and places (start and end instants, the IANA timezone each time is written in, airport codes, custom place names, locations, and addresses)
- Booking details (confirmation codes, carrier and flight or service number, seat, booking links, and the "not booked" mark on ideas)
- Costs and currency (the amount you record per item and its ISO 4217 currency code)
- Item photos and attachments (gallery or camera photos, plus ticket and boarding-pass files such as PDFs, held in the App's own documents folder)
- App settings (selected theme, reminder toggle, onboarding progress and flags, launch counts, and promo state)
An itinerary is sensitive. It shows where you will be and when, which nights you are away from home, and it can carry confirmation codes and booking links that unlock a reservation. We do not collect, store, or have access to your trips, items, times, places, booking details, costs, photos, attachments, or any other personal information you enter into the App. It stays on your device.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
While your itineraries remain private on your device, we collect limited technical data to improve the App:
- Anonymous usage analytics (via Firebase Analytics) to understand which features are used
- Crash reports and diagnostics (via Firebase Crashlytics) to identify and fix app stability issues
- Purchase data for subscription management (via RevenueCat)
- Device identifiers for fraud prevention and entitlement validation (via RevenueCat)
This telemetry is anonymous and describes how the App itself behaves — screens opened, features used, and technical crash diagnostics. It never includes your travel data: no trip or item names, no dates, times or timezones, no airports, cities or addresses, no confirmation codes or booking links, no costs, and no photos or attachments are ever sent to us or to any third party.
Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics are enabled only in release builds and are disabled during development.
For more information about how Firebase handles data, see Firebase's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
3. NO ADVERTISING
Travel44 does not display any advertisements. We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not collect or share data with advertisers. Your experience is ad-free.
On Android, the Firebase Analytics library the App bundles would normally merge in the advertising identifier permission (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID). The App explicitly strips that permission out of its manifest, so the version you install never requests or uses the Android advertising identifier at all.
On iOS, the App does not use the App Tracking Transparency framework, because it has nothing to ask for: it does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and it does not request the advertising identifier.
4. IN-APP PURCHASES
Payment Processing: If you subscribe to the Pro version (offered as weekly and annual plans with a 7-day free trial), your payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and handled through RevenueCat, our subscription platform. EHM Tech never receives, sees, or stores your payment card details.
Subscription Management: We use RevenueCat to manage the app_pro subscription entitlement. RevenueCat uses anonymous user IDs — no user accounts are required, and your itineraries are never associated with a purchase. RevenueCat receives purchase receipt data, never trip data. Specifically, RevenueCat collects:
- App usage events (app opened, subscription screens viewed)
- Device type and operating system
- Transaction data (purchase receipts, subscription status)
- Last seen time in app
For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and the store terms of Apple or Google.
5. SUPPORT CONTACT DATA
If you contact us for support through the App, the support email may include technical information to help us assist you:
- App version and build number
- Operating system version
- Device manufacturer and model
- RevenueCat anonymous App User ID
- Timezone
This information is only collected when you choose to initiate contact and is used solely to provide support. It does not include your trips, items, times, places, booking details, costs, photos, or attachments.
6. DATA RETENTION
Your trips, items, times and timezones, places, booking details, costs, photos, attachments, and settings are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data. If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is removed from your device.
Inside the App: archiving a trip is a soft archive — the trip is hidden from your active list and can be restored at any time. Erasing a trip is different: it sits behind a confirmation step and is permanent, with no recovery. Photo and attachment files that no longer belong to any item are swept from the App's documents folder when the App next starts.
Device backups: on Android, the App ships backup and data-extraction rules that exclude item photos and attachments from cloud backup, so a folder of large ticket PDFs cannot quietly consume your Google Drive backup quota. The trip database itself is still eligible for the platform's backup, so if you have device backup switched on, a copy of your trips and items may be held in your own cloud account under your control — not ours. You can turn device backup off in your operating system's settings.
Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by Firebase according to Google's data retention policies. This data cannot be linked back to you personally.
7. PERMISSIONS
The App may request the following permissions:
- Notifications: To deliver itinerary reminders — three hours before a flight or transport, one hour before a food, activity, or “other” entry — plus an optional trial-ending reminder. The App asks the first time you save a future timed item that can remind you, or when you switch reminders on yourself, never at launch. If you decline, reminders are simply not delivered — the rest of the App works normally.
- Exact Alarms: To fire a reminder at the precise local time your item starts from, rather than at the system's next convenient wake-up (Android)
- Boot Completed: To re-schedule your reminders after your device restarts, so a reboot doesn't silently drop them (Android)
- Camera: To photograph an item or capture a paper ticket as an attachment. Only used when you choose the camera; if you decline, you can still pick existing files.
- Photo Library: To let you pick item photos and attachments from your own gallery. The App reads only the items you select and copies them into its own storage.
- Files: To attach ticket and booking documents such as PDFs, and to import a
.traveltripfile. This goes through your operating system's file picker, so only the files you pick are ever opened — the App does not request broad storage access. - Internet: Required for analytics, crash reporting, and subscription validation. Planning itself works fully offline, including airport search.
The App never asks for your location. There is no location permission in the App at all — not "while using", not "always", not approximate. Likewise, the App does not use App Tracking Transparency and removes the Android advertising identifier permission from its manifest, so it cannot track you across other apps or websites.
Your trips, items, times, places, booking details, costs, photos, and attachments are held on-device in the App's own local database, preferences store, and documents folder, and none of the permissions above are used to send them anywhere.
All permissions are optional (except internet for core functionality) and can be managed in your device settings.
8. EXPORT AND SHARING
The App can export a trip in five formats, all free and none watermarked. Every export is generated on your device, and every export leaves the App only through your operating system's share sheet, at the moment you ask for it:
- PDF (A4): the itinerary laid out as a printable document
- Image (PNG): the itinerary rendered as a single picture
- Text: a plain-text version you can paste into a message or email
- CSV: a spreadsheet-friendly table of your items. Values that begin with a spreadsheet formula character are neutralised on export, so a cell cannot be interpreted as a formula when the file is opened.
- Trip file (
.traveltrip): a zip package containing a manifest, the trip and its items, and the item photos, which can be imported back into a new trip later or on another device
All rendering and packaging happens on your device. We do not access, intercept, upload, or store any exported file. Importing works the same way in reverse: a .traveltrip file you choose is read locally and rebuilt as a new trip on your device, with nothing sent to us.
Please note: an exported itinerary can contain a great deal about you — the dates you are away, the places you will be, flight numbers and seats, hotel addresses, costs, and confirmation codes that may be enough to view or change a booking. Once you share it, it leaves the App and is under your control and the control of whoever receives it. Sharing is never automatic — the App will not post, upload, or send anything on your behalf.
9. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your location, you may have rights including:
- Right to access information we hold about you
- Right to request deletion of your data
- Right to limit analytics via your device privacy settings
- Right to data portability
10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
