EHM Tech LLC ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Road44 mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our App.

By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. PRIVACY-FIRST DESIGN

Road44 is designed with your privacy as the top priority. All drive logging, metric totals, and goal tracking are performed and stored entirely on your device. Your drive data is never transmitted to our servers.

Data stored locally on your device includes:

  • Drives (start and end times, day/night flag, road types, weather, skills practiced, odometer or manual distance, earnings, tips, expenses, fuel volume and cost, supervisor, vehicle, purpose, and notes — kept in a local on-device database)
  • Goals (active tracking metric, all-time target, and optional weekly, monthly, and night-hours targets)
  • Units (distance in miles or kilometers and fuel volume in gallons or liters)
  • Theme selection and daily reminder preference with notification schedule
  • Onboarding progress and app settings (language, launch counts)

We do not collect, store, or have access to your drives, distances, earnings, expenses, goals, or any other logbook information you enter into the App.

Exporting and sharing: When you export your logbook, the App generates the document on your device as Text, CSV, PDF (A4), or a PNG image. Sharing is handed off to your operating system's standard share sheet, so you choose where the file goes (email, messaging, cloud storage, etc.). Exported logbooks leave the device only when you explicitly share them, and we do not receive, store, or have access to the documents you export or where you send them.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

While your drive and logbook data remains private on your device, we collect limited technical data to improve the App:

  • Anonymous usage analytics (via Firebase Analytics) to understand how features are used
  • Crash reports (via Firebase Crashlytics) to identify and fix app stability issues

Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics are enabled only in release builds and are disabled during development. This data helps us improve app stability and user experience. It does not include your drives, distances, earnings, expenses, goals, or any other logbook information.

3. NO ADVERTISING

Road44 does not display any advertisements. We do not use advertising SDKs, and we do not collect or share data with advertisers. Your experience is ad-free.

4. IN-APP PURCHASES

Payment Processing: If you purchase a Pro subscription, your payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not collect or store your payment information.

Subscription Management: We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat uses anonymous user IDs — no user accounts are required. RevenueCat collects:

  • App usage events (app opened, subscription screens viewed)
  • Device type and operating system
  • Transaction data (purchase receipts, subscription status)
  • Last seen time in app

5. SUPPORT CONTACT DATA

If you contact us for support through the App, the support email may include technical information to help us assist you:

  • App version
  • Operating system version
  • Device model
  • Timezone

This information is only collected when you choose to initiate contact and is used solely to provide support.

6. DATA RETENTION

Your drives, goals, units, theme preference, reminders, and app settings are stored locally on your device only. We do not have access to this data. If you uninstall the App, all locally stored data is deleted.

Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by Firebase according to Google's data retention policies. This data cannot be linked back to you personally.

7. PERMISSIONS

The App may request the following permissions:

  • Notifications: To send your daily drive-logging reminder and trial-expiry alerts
  • Exact Alarms: To schedule your reminder notification at your preferred day and time
  • Boot Completed: To re-schedule your reminder after your device restarts
  • Internet: Required for analytics, crash reporting, and subscription validation

All permissions are optional (except internet for core functionality) and can be managed in your device settings.

8. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

  • Right to access information we hold about you
  • Right to request deletion of your data
  • Right to limit analytics via your device privacy settings
  • Right to data portability

9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
