How Should Service Workers Track Tips?

The IRS requires employees to report all tip income, including cash tips, on their tax return. If you receive more than $20 in tips in any calendar month, you must report them to your employer. Underreporting tips can lead to penalties, back taxes, and interest. Accurate daily tracking isn't optional.
